Our Story
The story of Gangdhar Mithaiwale began with Shri Dadoba Sakharam Gangdhar, who started selling dahi and loni in the local market by carrying it on his head.
In 1955, his son Shri Vishnupant Dadoba Gangdhar took the legacy forward by setting up a small trading space. After 1960, he began making traditional sweets like pedha, barfi, and other milk products. Every item was prepared in small batches, with just one cook, including farsan, chiwda, and more.
In 1965, his sons Shri Ratnadeep Gangdhar and Shri Kulbhushan Gangdhar opened the first Gangdhar Mithaiwale shop on Bajirao Road, on the occasion of Gudi Padwa.
Later in 1975, the second shop was established in Sahakarnagar, marking steady growth. In 1978, Shri Ratnadeep Gangdhar also launched a wholesale venture, introducing new products and distributing them across Maharashtra.
From the very beginning, the family has focused on quality, service, and hygiene. One of the unique traditions has been personally attending to customers at the shop, helping build strong relationships and a loyal customer base.
Today, the fourth generation, under the leadership of Abhijit Kulbhushan Gangdhar, is carrying the legacy forward with the same values. From a small room to multiple shops and a wholesale network, Gangdhar Mithaiwale continues to grow — with a vision for expansion and a commitment to excellence.
